In this age of digital connection and digital distraction, eye contact has never been more important.

So, when you’re videoing yourself, look at the camera and not at yourself! If you’re not looking at the lens your audience will feel disconnected.

Eye (lens) contact shows that you’re engaged and present and makes your audience feel like you’re in a conversation with them, rather than speaking to somebody else.

So, make eye contact through the lens.
